I recorded an audio entry. I'm curious what people think about it and the little player and stuff like that. The entry itself is just really talking about the concept of audio entries. Which are something that people have discussed with me in the past and I've never known what to do with on here. And that is what this entry kind of talks about. If you listen to it and have any thoughts, let me know in the comments.

This is a neat addition. I don't mind the idea. Diaryland had always held a special place in my heart. I'm so happy you updated the site. I'm glad you didn't forget about us!!
Also, it would give me a reason to record myself and see how things were different before I have my vocal cords sewn up. I’ve been thinking about this off and on, mostly off since that’s at least two years off.
I will only say a few
I love hearing people's voices, it was nice to hear yours. Now I know what 3 people here sound like.
In the age of texting, it is so easy to read text and overlay your own meaning. I think much get lost in text. However diaryland is not text, it is like reading a book.
How many of you have had the privilege of going to an in person reading of your favorite author? I have not. I personally would love to hear how an author wants their words to be read. Good golly, if Ernst actually read one of his stories ( well depending on which one) you all would be in stitches peeing your pants.
Inflection!!!!! That is the word my silly brain was trying to come up with, it makes a huge difference.
I agree people should read, people should write , but a reading , that would be more intimate . You only get the true inflection when the author reads their work.
I wonder, once this feature is deployed in the next day or so, if people do start using it to some extent, I wonder how many will just read the entry that they posted and how many will just say something else, or maybe just record a message but not actually type it out. Hopefully people use it and we find out!
So Question- how do you record?I know many use their phone for so many things, but I am on a IMac? Ibook... whatever it is called. My name should really be analog girl
I don't think I know the first step of recording my voice. Well other than this temporary time after one of my concussions that I was doing karaoke on sing snap
I will save that for an entry. Obviously I have not recovered fully.
