Give a few diary entries a different shape.
A zine is a little publication you make from your diary. Pick some entries, or start with blank pages, and lay them out however you like. It gets its own link on the web, and you can print it as a PDF.
The opposite of a template
For as long as blogs and journals have existed, they have mostly worked one way: you write, and the site pours your words into a template. Every entry comes out shaped like every other one, on your diary here and on more or less every other platform too.
There are good reasons for that, and it is not going anywhere. A shared template is what lets anyone publish for years without designing a single page.
A zine is simply the other option. Instead of a template, you lay a few entries out by hand, with images, shapes, drawings and colours of your choosing. No two come out the same.
Pick one or two entries, or dozens, or start with blank pages. The result is a little publication with its own link on the web, or a PDF you can print.

Drop in the text of a diary entry, add your own words, bring in images, and draw freehand. Arrange shapes and layers until the page looks the way you want.
